Dan Broome

Treasurer & Director of Governance

Dan brings deep experience in nonprofit governance, finance oversight, and organizational compliance. He has contributed to inclusive program design and event management, while maintaining accountability across bylaws and processes. Dan works closely with UASA’s CPA and bookkeeper to ensure financial stability and compliance with grant funding. As Treasurer, he strengthens the board’s governance systems and long-term operational reliability.

Shannon Hartinger

Secretary & Director of Engagement
(Relationships, Quality, Accountability)

Shannon combines nonprofit leadership experience with her perspective as a caregiver in adaptive sport. She has contributed to fundraising, policy advocacy, and community partnerships, with a focus on accountability and safeguarding. Shannon plays a key role in maintaining quality across board processes and ensures compliance through documentation and meeting oversight. Her leadership ensures relationships remain strong and families are represented in UASA’s decision-making.

Michel Tume

Vice President & Director of Pathway Development
(Programming, Mentorship, Representation)

Michel is an adaptive soccer athlete, grassroots coach, and certified referee. With a background in design and communications, he brings creative strategy alongside lived experience in adaptive sport. He has been active in mentoring athletes and developing inclusive soccer pathways, including national connections through CP Soccer. At UASA, Michel champions athlete representation and leads the development of programs and pathways that grow the game nationwide.

JUSTIN HAUSER

Board Member

Justin Hauser brings experience in finance, fundraising, partnerships, adaptive sport, and power soccer. He has supported fundraising and partnership development for adaptive sport organizations and brings lived experience as a power soccer player and coach. Justin supports UASA’s work in financial sustainability, fiscal development, and long-term resource planning.

PETER BRUNO

Board Member

Peter Bruno brings experience in systems strategy, program management, nonprofit leadership, data-informed planning, and adaptive soccer. He has been involved with CP Soccer, inclusive soccer programming, and initiatives supporting neurodivergent and disabled communities. Peter supports UASA’s governance development, analytics, reporting systems, and strategic infrastructure.

Marc Burkom

Board Member

Marc Burkom brings lived adaptive athlete experience, coach education expertise, nonprofit leadership, and a strong commitment to participant-centered program development. He supports UASA’s coach development and education efforts, helping ensure that training, resources, and program guidance are practical, inclusive, and informed by the experiences of adaptive athletes.

Filip Handl

Board Member

Filip Handl brings experience in coaching, referee development, inclusive soccer, and I/DD and adaptive sport programming. He is a U.S. Soccer D License educator and longtime coach of Special Olympics and IDD athletes. Filip supports UASA’s referee development, coach/referee pathway connections, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building across adaptive soccer communities.
