Challenging the Sports Industry to Move Beyond Good Intentions

United Adaptive Soccer Association (UASA) President and Co-Founder Joslynn Bigelow will take the stage at the 2026 Compete Sports Network Summer Sports Business Conference in Corpus Christi, Texas, to lead a thought-provoking session on access and inclusion in sport.

Titled “Uncomfortable on Purpose: What Actually Gets in the Way of Access and Inclusion,” the session will encourage sports professionals to examine the systemic barriers that continue to limit opportunities for athletes with disabilities—and explore how meaningful change begins by moving beyond good intentions.

Drawing on UASA’s national work expanding adaptive soccer pathways across the United States, Joslynn will share practical insights into creating more accessible, inclusive, and sustainable sporting environments for athletes of all abilities.
